Wastewater Treatment Plant Replacement Project Summary
Jul 11, 2022The existing wastewater treatment plant for Harris County Water Control & Improvement District No. 119 (the “District”) was constructed in the 1970s. The plant is located at 8702 Green Hollow Lane, Spring, TX 77379 and sits in the Memorial Creek subdivision. Due to the age of the facility and deteriorating condition of its existing equipment and infrastructure, the Board of Directors of the District authorized the District’s Engineer, A&S Engineers, Inc., to commence the design and replacement of the wastewater treatment plant. The project will be funded by bonds, the issuance of which was authorized by the District’s voters in the recent bond election. The projected construction cost of the new wastewater treatment plant is $19,100,000 and the project is projected to be complete by the third quarter of 2026. This memorandum summarizes the project scope and schedule for the subject project.
